This is such an incredible true story that had me hooked from the beginning, felt like a modern day Romeo and Juliet. I feel like this subject is common but not spoken about enough, and whatever your background is, it’s relatable to modern love that can often be constricted by cultural/family/societal norms. I loved the journey the author takes us on, it’s truly an eye opening experience to read! Well written, inspirational, interesting, must read!

This book about the life of Arsalan Khan is one of the best, in depth stories about growing up in today's world, I have ever read. It was genuinely written and deserves nothing but praise. The information says it all: "Agony. Pain. Hope. Resistance." Khan writes bravely about struggles everyday adolescents face, with both social and psychological aspects included. He is not afraid to step in to the realm of stereotypes point out the many problems every student will face, at one time or another. It is a MUST READ for people of all ages, and it truly opens the mind.

I enjoyed reading this book. It was insightful, helping the readers see that we are not alone in how we feel; there are other people all around us that are going through what we are going through. At times we may feel alone without a soul to turn to, but we are not alone. What I took from Life Behind the Frames is another soul crying out in desperation trying to be heard. He is not alone. Although the details in our lives might be different, we all have experienced being bullied and rejected. After reading this, I am very curious to know what happens. Granted this book only tells about a short period in the author's life, but the question still remains: how was the rest of his life?

This book gives the social and psychological drama that every teenager faces it feels at some point in their teen years. It's excellent and good read for 13 years and up. Gives some food for thought on how society portrays groups and how stereotypes affects an individual. Overall, a must read for every adolescent.

This story contained insightful stories about the life of a supposed nerd. The protagonist, said nerd, came to many revelations during his college enlightenment, which should prove useful for any reader.

I started this book on Friday evening and finished it by Friday night. I simply could not put the book down. Arsalan's narrative was extremely well written, with a great dose of humility and more importantly humor. He talks a great deal about social acceptance and how difficult it is- something that we have all gone through at some point in our lives. I also have a great deal of admiration for the unique use of imagery that Mr. Khan used. He described things so well and clearly, that I began to imagine things he was describing in my head as I read the book. Furthermore, there is a great clarity of thought in Arsalan's book- he has very painstakingly made sure the book flows well- and it really does.

There are some parts of the book that made me laugh out loud, and others that made be sad for what the author was going through. All in all, this book was a book that is meant for anybody- and a book that will make you think about life in general. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anybody. Not only is it very well written, but it's also a fairly easy read- and can be finished in a short time.

I sincerely hope that Arsalan continues his love of writing- and I am very proud and honored to have had the privilege to have been his roommate during his first (and my last) semester of college.

Bottom Line: READ THIS BOOK!!!
